Yeah, us Maxima guys tend to be a little more calm... most of the time.
As for the question... I personally would take a VQ30 over an RB any day. Why? Well, you can easily build a VQ to make just as much power as most street RB's (VQ35 is currently powering the fastest Nissan in the world though). From there the VQ is lighter and much more compact. Turning would be better due to the lower center of gravity and weight and the engine being able to sit closer to the middle of the car (in a RWD application). So... if you're able to make the same power but out of a lighter more compact engine it should then be able to make the car faster.
This is why the JGTC R34 Skyline's equipped with the VQ30DETT were faster around the track than the RB versions.
