engine swap for 4x4
Has anybody seen a swapped d21 4x4? like sr, or ka24de, or rb? and still retain the 4wd with ifs.I mean without doing a full drivetrain swap like a chevy sb with a th400 and a sas.

Haven't seen it, but I know of a guy that swapped VG30DET into a pre R50 Pathfinder.

KA24DE swap in a HB,GM4.3L in a HB,supercharged VG33 ina HB,soon to be VH45DE in a HB!

Hey mudcat, I heard from Pinhead that you're swapping in a VH too. I just got the engine and trans from the Q pulled out last week. That engine is ungodly wide. I love it!
After I pulled it out I noticed that the trans is merely a pathfinder/HB auto but with computer controls. I bet it's much easier to swap in the HB trans instead of messing with the TCU. But, I already have the Q trans so instead of buying more crap I'mma try and just put the Q trans in. You have the auto in your truck now?
We should start a new thread to keep all of this info together.

Glad to hear i'n not the only one persuing this endeavor!The "monster" currently has a built ka-24e & 5-spd in it.May have to swap front axle from D44 to D60 to handle the extra power!I'm gonna use VH transmission w/tx-10 case & low gear set.Looking into kit for transmission.Are you in noas?
