Engine swap is done car purrs and roars BUT will not go into gearMy trans was rebuilt a few months agoput in the Dragon TC after engine swap and it was the wrong one.After manu back and forth w/ precision industries - counting splines, measuring height, and giving the stamping info on the stock convertor.

They sent the correct one - trans shop installed and still nothing.Pump in trans is working you can feel the application.Trans shop says has to be convertor, is gonna pull it hopefully this week.when my engine went car was not moving so dont think any trans damage.Whatcha Think ???

only way to tell is to install the OEM TC and then see if it works. If it works then you know for a fact that it is the aftermarket TC.

here is the dilly yo_ precision industries built me the wromg torque convertor a second time.They are sending me UPS call tags for 3 boxes1- first wrong part 300zx TC2- second wrong part custom built Q45 tc a good 1/2 inch too short(input shaft bottomed out- potential trans damage yes pulling apart my newly rebuilt mad sick trans-- to check for potential damage)3- my stock convertor so they can not f**k up again.FYI BTY i am pissed

Glad to hear you're getting to the bbottom of it all, but it sucks how things are going. Can only hope for good results when it's all done.

no doubt UPS picked up the 3 convertors this morning will be at precision on thursday, they said they will try to get the proper convertor out the same day and overnight it to me.in the meantime LABOR $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Sound like a pain, all the money time and not being able to drive your car. I have had many experiences with companys giving the wrong part, put it on dons'nt work or does'nt fit than have return item get another, its enuf to drive any on loony. But when the car is done right and you hit the road with new upgrades and you can feel the improvment thats when its worth it!!

I'm glad to see your almost there with getting to be able to use your Q again. I hope this TC problem gets sorted out.

knock sensors under plenum jobhollow out the pre cats and remove the catsh20 pumpplugsvalve cover gasketsclean egrall beltscheck tensionersmabey do trans rebuild when all apart save some labor.Make sure your mechanic has some idea of what he is doing. if doing it yourself Fly Wes in from Indiana for assistanceif i can think of anything else i will let u knowalso if u search some of my posts u will find alot of exoerienced peoples input

FYI for those interested - they are machineing a new cover for my convertor today, they had to write a new program for the cnc machine, they said they never saw one like mine (although my 2- stock convertors ae identical) blamed it on the Import manufactures changing things up in the middle of production whan they have a problem w/ a supplier.wil have it back on Friday morning

It wont work for any Q that was just his BS excuse i think his convertor in the cactory that was labeled Q was probably from a pathfindermy trans guy said the concertor he made(2nd wrong one ) matched no vehicle
