Hi All,

Looking for some suggestions. My 4x4 has 200k+ miles and the engine is starting to fade.

Have found a "reliable" shop to swap the engine, and they have located another engine with 100k mi. to begin with, and possibility of finding others with fewer miles.

Anyone have any suggestions or comments to make before I close the deal. I could always use more power--are their any other engines to consider than OEM that drop right in?

OK, let me ask the question another way . . .

Will a later engine from a Frontier drop into a Hardbody without any modifications?

I ask this because this truck is a 4x4 with a shell, and is heavier than just a pickup. I'd like more horsepower without after market add-ons (headers, etc.).

Is their any engine swap solution with greater HP for the Hardbody?
