IIRC, there is a member that did just that. I think he went by socal1992q45 or something like that.

He swapped the heads from his earlier motor onto the bottom enbd of the NEW crate motor.

I'll see if I can find some posts.

Found him search for archived posts by SOCAL91Q45a, I hope that sheds some light on it for you.

theres quite a few wiring differences, but all the signals and stuff are the same... best would be just to get the wiring harness from the 95.

yeah you can splice... The coil pack connetors are different too so you may want to use the coil packs from your other motor...

Too bad you don't live in AZ. Greg has a 90 engine for a 95 car and you have a 95 engine for a 92 car. You guys could just swap engines. All would be solved.

I may be coming up this weekend to visit ross.. If I do ill pick it, you think youd be able to ship it to me????

Anyway, i have the wiring diagram right here.

To make it easier, the pins are as follows... Looking at the terminal side, going left to right, A B C D

A- (i assume is ground)B- PowerC- 1* signalD- 90* signal

You have the engine R&R down to 5 hours?

Can you remove the engine from the top or do you have to drop it out the bottom?

Do you have a good thread to engine R&R?

the first swap i did from the bottom, new motor and trans @ 7hrs, from the top just seems to be faster, the only hard part ive noticed is keeping the engine on a good angle so that the exhaust manifolds clear the firewall and the steering rod, ive dismantled cars for the past 13 years, so its all in a days work.
