Got another question for the forum.. starting to seem like I picked a bad one off the lot in 2000.

My maxima surges when the engine is cold until the temperature warms up. The surges are very noticeable in any gear 1/2/3 but hard to pick up on the tach. I've put the car in 1st and found the surge ~1200 rpm - 15 mph, but will also do it at higher speeds/rpm.

After the temp gauge warms up to show the engine temp in between H and C (not too sure what temp this is), the surging problems goes away.

Recently, I've had my fuel injection system cleaned, new plugs, new MAF & one coil in the last year.

Any thoughts would be appreciated. I've tried taking it to a few people that work on imports but unless I leave it there overnight or for several hours the engine stays warm enough to run smoothly and they can't diagnose the problem.

yeah, eventually through a code for a cylinder 2 misfire along with the misfire code (if I remember correctly) - so I replaced the one coil and all the plugs (used NGK) and had the codes cleared, everything running fine since then until MAF out. Had that replaced, computer reprogrammed - worked for a few months and now this
