Ok so i searched for this already and found a few things on this topic but my problem seems alittle different than the things i found.

Basically, i just bout a 1990 240 hatch with a stock ka24 swapped into it recently (about 2 weeks before i bought it). Basically my problem is that when driving the engine kinda stutters and loses power and cuts out. When idling i try to rev the engine and i cant get the rpms over 5k without it doing this.

I do know that the guy who I bought it from just also put brand new injectors in it, and he also told me that the same gasoline is in the car from before the swap, and has been in there for quite a while.

So what kind of things do you think could be causing this? Could it just need a post swap tune, or could condensation have gotten into the gas tank during the swap and be causing this problem?

I also assume it could be a vacum leak which i plan to check out.

Any imput would be awesome! thanks alot

Standard reply in this case is check the MAF and vacume lines.

Also check that the grounds were properly attached after the swap. And replace that gas with fresh.
