I know some people that did the curtains, grills and other parts, they will fit just fine on the 2nd Gen Q. However, the engine swap you're suggesting is just short of crazy. For the price it will take to get a newer motor and install it you could have sold the car you just bought and buy 2002-06 Q45.
If you're looking for a speed machine you picked the wrong car. I have a 97' and it is not slow, but it ain't fast. For that matter the older 1st Gen Q's are about as fast as a modern V6 Camry, Altima or Accord.
Dressing her up is good, knock yourself out. but engine swap is sorta of crazy. I would just concentrate on tune-up, suspension refresh and fluid change out.
