im going to be putting my rb25 project on hold until spring '06, and i was wondering if theres anything i should do to the motor right now so that it doesnt start rusting on the inside or anything like that during the winter. it will be in my garage the whole time so i think it will be fine but i just want to make sure, because i was talking about it with my dad and he brought up the point that when you store boats for the winter they put some more oil through the spark plug holes or some crap so the cylinder walls dont start rusting. so i was wondering if anything like this would help in my situation.

any input would be appreciated.thanks.

Be very careful of the bores. Put a thin film of motor oil on the bores and the internal parts. The deck and outside, spray some wd-40. Then put a garbage bag over the motor with those drying chemicals in the bag with the motor.

That chemical stuff saved my motor from rust. Just gotta pour the water it sucks out of the air every couple days. I found that stuff at a local hardware store.
