engine still shaking, loss of power!

Hi all,

So my engine has been having problems..the engine and car would shake after driving it around for a few minutes and sounds like a truck.. I replaced my clutch fan thinking that was the cause and it still shakes and there is a huge loss of power! i sometimes get onto the highway and almost get into accidents bc it seems like theres no power when shifting from 3rd to 4th...i am slower than a geo metro!! i also found out that my alternator belt is loose due to the tensioner bolt which connects to the alternator fell off...so my car has trouble starting without a jump start lately.. any ideas on what the problem could be with the engine shaking and on top of that restricting power? I replaced the plugs/wires, distributor cap/rotor, clutch fan, and fuel filter.

you got into an accident because of that? did the clutch fan fix it for a while or was it still bad when you replaced it?

no i didnt get into an accident lol...edited my first post...was just exaggerating how slow it is.. the clutch fan didnt fix it..it stopped making the jet plane/super charger noise, but the shaking still resumes...

i had the same problem. comes to find out i had a dead injector in cylinder one. without touching the car at all carefully pull sparkplug wire of the valve cover one at a time and if you pull it out and the motor hesitates then that cylinder should be good if not either no spark or no fuel. wost case bad compression

^^^ I agree. I've had to same issue... getting dusted by Geo Metro's... lol!Fuel injectors have gone out on me, like 3-4 times... getting them out can be a B**ch w/o the right tools... good luck, mane!
