hi I have a 91 240sx with a 95 motor that I swapped into the car. Its been sitting for a while as an unfinished project but I finally went to start it today and I got it started after several cranks and it bogged up into life the RPM's went to 1,000 and then after about 10 seconds it died it repeated this after maybe 10 more attempts to get it going. I tried holding down the gas pedal and starting it and it started and ran longer like 30 seconds but this time it idled at only about 500-700 rpm. I thought it could just be a flooded engine from all that cranking so I held down the gas pedal on that one attempt and tried to start it that way my friend claims it would shut off the injectors from firing more fuel incase its flooded that way it would just use whats already in the engine. Also my vacuum lines are not correctly attached to where they are supposed to be going but a friend of my claims it doesn't matter the car should start and run regardless, just run really crappy. He told me by disconnecting the maf would sort of bypass the vacuum lines and I did try starting it with the maf disconnected but it didnt change anything any ideas?
