engine starts and shuts off!!! Problem

Im having a major problem with the engine its a kade we just finished putting back on "time" and it starts, but it shuts off after a bit, and if we try to rev it and hold it at....let say 1.5k or 2k it hesitates to stay at that rpm. when it drops to idle it stutters and shuts off.

any idea if its a vaccume leak or electrical??!!!

Sounds like vacuum leak. I had the same problem with mine when i put my motor back in. I forgot the vacuum line on the pcv valve. once i got that hose on everything was good.
