hey, sorry for posting in your post, but i have the same problem but even worse. when my foot is on the gas, the car' rpm meter would go haywire and bounce up and down then the car will stall, and since i am on the throttle, it will catch and start the engine again as if it was being push started. and i cant seem to find/fix the problem yet, its been a week without my car. i grounded the engine block and battery. then i checked my fuel pump. cleaned my maf sensor and all the sensors. i tried checking the hoses, but too dirty to see if theres any loose hose. can anyone help us?

scoutz if your refering to when you shift, disengage the clutch then press the gas and the rpms jump faster than your car is accelerating i would assume that your clutch is bad. Same problem happened to a friend of mines when i went to pick the car up for him. Usually a way to find this out is when your in say 3rd before the rpms reach 2000 shift into fourth if your car engine sputters your clutch is good if so i'm uncertain what it could be. I appologize in advance if this doesn't help you. Silver i've heard a situation similar to this and it was caused by a small air bubble in the clutch line, did you recently replace your slave or clutchmaster cylinder?

no i havent replaced the clutch master or slave cylinder. i was thinking today could this possibly be due to bad injectors or some kind of timing issue. and lately its getting worse now its stalling at red lights in neutral. has anyone else had this problem and if so what was the cause or reason and how did you fix it. Thanks

nope, i checked the clutch, its still good. its only about 7 months old Exedy clutch. and the problem is getting worse, i drove it today, and it still has the same problem. not as much, but when it does start the problem. it will do it like 5times then stops for like a min, then starts again. =[

have you kept an eye on your transmittion fluid....check your transmission..or maybe your drive shaft...my girl had an 88 crx that had a similar issue...when she was driveing it occationally the car would sputter and kick until it stalled or caught itself...she was driveing it to my boys house where we were going to check it out and the transmission ended up blow'n..litterally..pieces of the transmission were laid accross the road with fluid everywhere...

there is a big vacume line on the left side in the back on top of the intake maifold if it comes disconected or has a litte hole in it it will make ur car do that.

it could be the throttle contro computer or could be overheating
