engine sputtering seem to be runing on 3 cylinders

ok so im coming home from vegas and everything is fine at around barstow the car starts to loose power and the engine starts knocking really bad then it dies on me. it started doing this after i put some oil in the motor about halfway through the trip. i think i might have overfilled it. after it died it didnt want to start back up a while later it did but it has a bad knocking sound and idles very poorly friends say it sounds like is only running on three cylinders any ideas. its an 89 240sx hb with a kae

when was the last time you did a tune up?

did you pull the spark plugs to see what they tell you? Report what the tips of the plugs look like.

did you pull the plugs on the injectors one at a time to see if it changes the idle at all?

hey man im havin the same exact problem right now, and i think ive narrowed it down, i turned the car on and unplugged my injectors one at a time to see if it changed and it ended up being my number 4 cylinder injector, so i think, ill find out for sure tomorrow and let u know, but, my guess is injector problem.

let me know, does it sound like a damn helicopter? cuz thats how mines running

yea changed my injector today, and it fixed my problem, super happy... check ur injectors
