My engine splash guard (big plastic cover under the engine) broke off recently and the dealers want $200+ for this part,

Are the any after-market suppliers or cheaper online options? Need guard and hardware for a 2009 M35x.

I purchased an aftermarket no-name brand one on ebay for around $80 or $90 cant remember and its trash. The plastic has gotten softer and it has stretched so much in exactly one year that I had to refill the rear holes.

I should have bought an OEM one for a little more.

Or just got a solid aluminum one from TBW...instead of throwing money at the problem multiple times...

How easy is it to do an oil change with this guard on? From the pics on the website it looks like it has a door for the oil filter. Just curious if I should get one.

Yep, it has a door for the filter and a door for the drain bolt. I was the donor car for the M35x and the M56x and on both cars I also had a Fumitomo valve installed so my oil changes are as simple as opening a tap and changing the filter. No fuss.
