89 240sxThis is what happens... I checked my oil yesterday, and it was realllly low when I only changed it a few weeks ago. So I went to bought a quart of 10w-40 oil and added it, then the engine runs great. No valve noise and the engine pulls good. Then this morning, about 10 degrees outside, I started the car up and let it warm up for about 10 min. Then I was in a hurry so I went to the car and put it to first gear and when i put in 2nd i grind the clutch a lil because i didnt engage it enough. Then I accelerate in 2nd gear and I hear loud noises from my engine. Like there was no oil in it at all. Valves was making a tapping or some kind of noice. Can some one tell me whats wrong?

And at startup my car put out alot of smoke, fades away when I drive tho. Also spray it some type of fluid out of the exhaust. I dont think its water though. Can this problems connect together? Can someone help? Please.

I think Im just using bad oil. No biggie. I think thats the problem because the problem fades away when the engine is running for a while.
