Here is the problem:

A month after installing a gt2871r turbo w/ megan racing manifold i was inspecting everything and noticed that one of the bolts connecting the turbo to manifold was broken. So i pulled the manifold and turbo off and replaced the bolt and all gaskets. After reinstalling everything there was think white smoke coming from the exhaust, up after driving it went away. I then continued to change the power steering pump, so the car was not running for about a week. I finished everything and started the car. The smoke was back and this time it does not go away.

The smoke is think white with a strong smell of oil burning.

What are your opinions on what is wrong.

are you using a restrictor for the oil feed with that turbo?

Does the smoke happen when your just idling or while your driving like on highway?

Are you using SS lines or stock lines?

If you are using aftermarket lines like TAKA lines.. you need a restrictor otherwise bye bye turbo...

Can you make sure your HG is not blown?

One simple way to check is open your rad cap then start the engine. If you see coolant shoot out everuwjere or bubble... your HG is bad.

if its usually puffing smoke only during light throttle and idling then its usually turbo or valve seals but... if its doing ALL the time.. Id check the HG

it is not the head gasket, because i checked for the coolant in oil,

to better sum up the problem, it smokes alot at idle, and lite during driving

Ive come to realize that smoking oil during idle usually is Valve stem seals or turbo...

First, Id do a compression check. See if your rings are gone.

Then I would pull the exh manifold off and see if there are large amounts of oil on your exhaust port. this would indicate that your valve seals are leaking or your piston rings are gone.

Then check the turbo for excessive play or oil build up in o2 housing or turbine section.
