I'm trying to determine the general consensus of what's the best engine sling and lift points for a TT engine?

I noticed CZP sells a Z32 Ramey Engine Sling: ImageImage

that appears to bolt into top holes directly in front and back of the engine assembly (can't really determine where from the photo). Such a specific application tool wouldn't be helpful for other engine makes and models.

I prefer getting a general purpose 4-point engine load leveler:

so I could use it for other engines.

That Ramey sling is perfect for the z32, it uses two of the plenum bolt holes (rear drivers side and front pass side) as attachment points. The other universal is nice, but you will need to make "brackets" to bolt onto the engine. I' very also just used 1" nylon slinger straps wrapped around and through the plenum runners.

Yes. You can do it with the universal one too. Honestly you dont even need the universal one. When i lifted my engine, i used a long strip of heavy duty chain wrapped around the engine mount brackets, since my plenum side bolts were missing. If you have one laying around, just use it and save a couple dollars. If you dont, you can also do it with a ratchet tie down strap found at walmart for like $4. Waaaay cheaper than the universal one.

Actually, I already have a set of simple HD chains, brackets, and grade 8 bolts I've used in the past to pull numerous motors, so if I wanted to pinch my pennies, I would just figure a way of using those. I've even seen people use nylon straps wrapped around the plenum to pull the VG30DETT. After using the brute force and jiggle methods to separate and mate engines, mounts, and transmissions, I think it's nigh time for me to spend a little to make it easier to R&R motors as I have two projects to do. A load leveler is only about $50-80 shipped so not that big a deal, and can sell it off after my second project if I'm really strapped for cash or storage space. But the ease and convenience it would bring to engine R&R is worth the low-cost expenditure for me.

So it's now figuring out where there are 4 relatively equal mounting points for the load leveler...

The Remedy is definitely the easier option if you have time to wait for them to ship it to you.

As far as the mounting points go, if the lever is wide enough, you can bolt it horizontally to the sides of the upper plenum. If you look on the sides, you see a bracket connects the upper plenum to the block using four bolts. Mine was missing but you should have it. If you want to do it vertically, you can strap it to the center section of the upper plenum.
