Im preparing to do a replacement swap for my blown KA24DE in a 92 240sx. Reading through the FSM about engine removal I saw that it mentioned "Engine Slingers." They are some kind of bracket which screws into the motor at the front and rear which are used to connect the chains of the engine hoist. I do not have these and would appreciate it if someone could tell me where I can get them and/or a part number. Im not far from a Nissan Dealer but I wanted to ask here first. Thanks in advance.

just use a couple of bolts and thread them in an available hole at the left front and right rear of the cyl head. DO NOT use the small 10mm bolts to do this, use the 12 or 14 mm head bolts to do it. run the bolt through the chain with a couple washers between the head of the bolt and the chain link and run the bolt into any available hole around those locations.

i like to use trans bellhousing bolts, exhaust manifold bolts, and stuff like that. usually i can find something big and bad on the front to hook up to as well. i rarely bother with the engine slingers even though i do have a set. i have seen many a motor pulled by wrapping a chain around the intake and exhaust manifolds but i HATE that method and i dont reccomend it.
