Bought used '07 Versa S with 3,000 miles. Noticed engine shaking when coming to a stop and a clunking noise when backing into a parking spot. Nissan diagnosed as a broken engine mount. Replaced engine mount. The clunking stopped but the engine still shakes. Nissan claims it is the nature of the engine.

Does anyone else have this problem? Slowly come to a crawl like you are approaching a stop sign. Right before you come to a complete stop does the car seem to be shaking?

Also mileage has only been 22mpg for the last 5 fill ups. Nissan claims I still have to break in the engine and wait for the "summer blend" of gas. Very disappointed.

BigLilCar if you run an ethanol blend gas in your V it can cause the engine shake you described. I had the same problem in Ohio with 10% ethanol 90%gasoline and by switching back to all gasoline problem went away.

I had the same problem. I have a 2007 Tiida and they diagnosed the motor mount. After 2 visits to the dealer, the replaced it, and the noises coming from the motor dissapeared and the shaking also gone away. The car is silent now.

The sensations you feel sound really like bad motor mounts. My other vehicle (Mazda 5) needed them when it was less than a year old. Your car should still be under warranty so you shouldn't have to fork out anything to get this fixed. Oh yeah, I'm only averaging 26mpg with my versa so I don't know where these 30+ guys are coming from.

dunno about the shaking... but theyre getting thyre good milage from the CVT, and i believe the automatic gets good gas milage too... the 6 speed gets the worst... and as to the OP... you driving a 6 speed? cause if you are, you need to put the clutch in a little earlier =p

Your engine should not be shaking. Mine is smooth as silk. I can't even feel the engine running through the steering wheel. The comment on the gas blend very well could be your problem. Good luck getting your car fixed. Over 5700 miles, I am currently averaging 30.00 MPG. It's getting better as the miles add up and the summer blend of gas hits the injectors.
