(Topic title for lack of better words)

Usually most felt when stopeed but sometimes comes when driving - it basically feels like the engine is shaking so violently that the entire car is shaking.

If it helps, picture an old sloppy jalopy..just kind of shaking all over!

I've read cleaning the throttle body helped some cure the shakes, but didn't for me.

Any ideas at all?

could be worn motor mounts.

I know there is an engine damper thingie available for the 350s, but not sure about the PF/Q.

Well, the thing is I don't think its literraly just the engine shaking (though I suppose it could be).

I have a feel it could be something electrical...

Anything come to mind?

Are you that your engine isn't knocking.

well, the engine is off balance and for a 6 to be off, that means that one (or more cylinders) isn't firing like it should.

It could be a bad spark plug, plug wire, clogged injector, etc. there are a whole host of things it could be. But if the truck is old or high mileage, the rubber engine mounts do wear out.

I'm not sure if they are fluid filled (hydraulic) or just rubber, but they do go bad over time. Shoot, it can even be a transmission mount.

Does the engine smooth out at higher engine speeds or does it shake bad at any rpm?

Well I looked up "knocking" and it doesn't really sound like the problem I'm having.

I'm pushing 120,000 miles with (most likely) a spark plug change never been done on it so i'm in the process of changing those along with the wires but am dreading in because I don't have the #6 tool.

And yes now that you mention it, it does seem (for the most part) to be smoother at higher RPMs.

my company truck is a 4cylinder running on either 2 or 3 cylinders and the whole truck shakes side to side violently, but not at high rpms.. replace spark plugs and wires for a start
