engine shaking and leaking oil

car is running really rough the engine is shaking and leaking oil and it seems like my car has no power and wants to die when i'm driving. I checked the spark plugs and they were burnt and pretty dirty so I changed those and it still is running like crap. Could it be the plugs because when I take the cyl 1 plug out the car has no reaction but when I take the other ones out there is a reaction. I also checked for vacuum leaks and there are none. and what can be causing the leak

hopefully you have two diffrent problems. to find your oil leak you should clean your motor (i like foaming engine degreaser ) and then check for leaks. as far as the shaking its because your not running on all 4 cyl. you have already narrowed it down to the no 1 cyl. check for spark and fuel, run a compression test if you have both.

turns out it wasn't the spark plugs damn I have no idea whats wrong with this car

I just had a thread with the same issue of shaking and crap idle and it ended up being my intake manifold gasket being bad. This was after doing cap rotor wires plugs coolant temp sensor injector testing ohm resistance and pulling the rail out/replacing all the seals to see if its a stuck one etc multimeter testing every wire under the hood

So a bad intake manifold gasket would cause my car to lose power also. ps: im kind of a noob

Like mentioned earlier, you need to find out where the oil is leaking from. Check your grounds, thats probably what is causing the shaking ect. What are your rpms a idle?

it idleing fine just around 900 800. But when I start it it jumps up to 2k then goes right back down. Next i guess i'll just find out where its leaking and go from there

what year is your car, what motor do you have sohc or dohc?
