I dont know if its natural but my engine shakes a lot when i have it idling while watching it with the hood popped up. Inside it feels like a diesel truck (maybe not as bad). The engine moves in a left to right motion. I think might be my old motor mounts (more than 226k on them). Also the transmission moves a lot under high rpm shifts. Im using the SR transmission mount. My question is - Would Nismo mounts cure these symptoms? Thanks in advance.

new mounts should be the answer you have been looking for.

It could be a leaky injector o-ring or 3. One way to check, is with the car running, unplug one coil pack at a time. If you unplug the coil pack, and nothing happens to the motor, that injector is likely to be leaky.

THe other way to tell is to turn the car off, and remove the fuel rail mounting bolts but not the fuel lines. Lift the rail out of the manifold enough to see the bottom of the injectors, and with the rail positioned like you were going to drop it back in, have a friend turn the key to the 2nd position (the one before start). If your orings are good, you will see a solid squirt of fuel, if they are leaky, you'll be able to tell due to the pouring of fuel out of the bottom of the rail.

I recently had my setup tuned and installed new injectors and had 3 torn orings and it idled VERY rough, but ran fine.

Good point. I was starting to think it had something to do with the engine and not the mounts. Im going to check this out tomorrow. Ill let you guys know what happens.I still need to get some new motor mounts though. If the injector O-rings are bad, is this something that I can replace? If so do you have any part number and instructions on the O-rings?Thanks in advance.

I just did mine.I went to nissan and bought for a 91 300zx tt,And they fit fine. And to install you just pull the injector out of the rail. And get a needle nose pillars,And pull the old o-rings out.And just slip the new ones on.Put some motor oil or WD-40 on the new seals. And push the injector back in.

I did the coil pack test and every one removed made the engine stuble. Im going to check the fuel rail test later today. On a side note, the engine does shake all the time its kinda occasional. Im not sure really. I just need to replace my mounts.
