I've got 03 G35 coupe AT
When the car is in Park, Neutral or stopped at the light - engine shakes (rpms are standing still tho) and those shakes are uneven...
shake... 2 sec interval... shake.... 1 sec.. shake.... 5 sec.... shake.... 1 sec... shake... 1 sec...

you can feel it in the steering wheel and even with your a** sitting in the seat....

just driving me nutz...

at first I thought something is wrong with the engine.... but I checked - everything seems ok...

anyone else has this ?

Mileage? That may determine what would need to be replaced.

Otherwise maybe engine mount issue?

Does it do it with more fuel? Try cleaning your MAF sensors...be careful not to damage them. Also check your intake tubing for holes/leaks. Maybe run some injector cleaner through as well. Sounds like the car is either misfiring or getting slightly starved from fuel, causing the shake/judder.

Yeah, I thought about that too - seemed like the air/fuel mix is somewhat is unbalanced and that causes the shakes.

How do you clean the MAF sensor?

Thanks

They make a MAF cleaner spray, and it should have instructions. A quick search should find it.

Also before or after that you may want to try to reset the ECU, there is a gas pedal procedure to do to reset it.

ECU is what controls the engine.

Reset procedure found here:

get your ecu scanned at the local autozone. I'm sure it has to do with your cam angle sensor. Mine engine did the same. It took a good 6 months before i get a cel but the whole damn week by week it gradually got worse untill it would fail and just slowly die and shut the motor off.

When your codes get scanned and you see bank one or bank two pending it's time to change them. You could also clean the throttle body and maf.

CAM ANGLE SENSORS CHECK EM! :dblthumb:

if the idle is steady and you have no MIL lamp illuminated, engine mounts are a good possibility.
