So I picked up a 240sx s13 this last week and everything looks fine but there is a weird shaking/noise from the engine when I let off the clutch. Its not a vacuum/fuel issue since the car revs and idles fine but the whole engine block shakes and makes a noise once I disengage the clutch. Not really sure what it could be but the previous owner not so long ago intalled a stage 3 clutch and a j30 lsd diff so idk if that has to do with the shaking or not.

Any ideas? Heres a video.

Do you know if it's a sprung or unsprung hub on the clutch, brand etc? Higher performance puck clutches or clutches with unsprung hubs can have very harsh engagement. Clutches require more clamping force to keep from slipping at higher power and torque ratings or in applications where the clutch may take more abuse, with that comes a loss in drivability comfort.

One other thing to do is check all your engine mounts and trans mount and make sure they are all in good condition and not torn/broken.

Im not sure about the exact clutch but its a stage 3 so its more of a high performance clutch. I think the shaking is due to my engine mounts, I havent really checked them yet but from reading other sources and reading around im sure its the mounts. I'll be sure to go and replace those soon as possible.
