Hi, my question is about the engine service soon light that recently came on on my 99 Q45t. Service manual says that it's an emmission related, but is there any way to turn this light off besides taking the car into dealership?? thank you in advance.

The OBD2 system monitors hundreds of things besides emissions.Although in a properly maintained car [one that sees the dealer every 90 days for oil changes.......when they check other things as a matter of course], it is usually emission/engine performance related.

When you force turn the light off with a Consult dianostic computer the fault record is still in the ecu [for a while].

Any OBD2 scanner can read the fault [O2 sensor degradation or such].

Why don't you relish taking the car to the dealer to have things checked out?
