engine runs rough

well so i got my new clutch and flywheel and shifter installed on wed. it idled and ran fine before that other than the clutch problem. now it idles REALLY rough and runs ****ty. it acts as if its mis firing. new plugs were installed about a month ago. i am out of money. PLEASE HELP! the sound it makes is like a toyota camry with a bad exhaust leak.

They must have messed somthing up when they put the new clutch in... Use the Search and type in "Runs rough"

well what can you mess up? you disconnect battery, remove driveshaft, disconnect transmission electrical connections, remove transmission. nothing to it. theres only the 4 sensors on it but those wont effect the way the damn thing idles and runs the way my car has been effected

Check your MAF that's what I would check first...

thread starter... when u did flywheel and stuff... i'm thinking you had to turn the crank pulley to make things go easier or something... i did my clutch flywheel kit on my last KA and i had to use the crank pulley to help me.

you probably turned your crank pulley too much and your timing got off.

so... all i can say is re-set it.

if you have ka24e re-turn your crank pulley to 15BTDC

and if you have a ka24de then i think it's 20 where it needs to me on the crank pulley markings.

well did some testing and its the injectors. and btw dreams i had it done professionally so i dont know what exactly happened.

alright well maybe they knock the timing off some and didn't fix it... so just re-check that. i am getting pretty good at timing now that i been learning it for the past 4 days. lol

well i have to fix dead injectors first. otherwise i cant do **** about anything with timing and what not cause it aint gonna matter till i have them fixed.

your injectors are dead??????

if there dead your car shouldn't even run at all.when i first got my ka24e swapped in the injectors were dead and my car wouldn't even run.

i dunno... if your car is starting, running, and not stalling, it just seems like an rough idle i don't know man... i would just use a timing light and check the timing.

with bad/dead injectors... ur car shouldn't even be running at all cuz i know mine didn't run when mine were bad.

there is ONE...yes ONE...not ALL...dead...if 1 is dead it will still run. if 3 of 4 of my injectors are working even if 1 or 2 of them are not fully working the car will still run. just really rough.
