Ok, So I have given up trying to get my car to start. I guessing that something is wrong, I keep losing compression (think its just the rings are going bad.) SO Im going to rebuild the entire motor

Question is, Can I pull the Engine out from the top or do I have to drop it under the car. I have done the drop before but it is a huge pain in the ....

Please anyone that has experience pulling it from the top if possible let me know.

thanks Lino, only problem is none of them said if they pulled it with or without the transmission attached. I would like to be able to leave the trans in if possible.

you can pull the engine from the top with the engine/trans connected... I know people that have done it, however its definitely not the recommended way of doing it.

Make sure you are not loosing compression from too much fuel wiping the cylinders before pulling the engine. Cadillac has a big problem with that and can loose compression, but run great after letting it sit or shooting air into the cylinders and getting rid of all the raw fuel in there. The fix for Cadillac is reprogramming the PCM so it doesn't run too rich.

Did you ever try disconnecting the injector harness and just manually squirting starter fluid/carb cleaner into the TB while cranking? Give that a try before pulling the motor...

im guessing if you want to take the engine out through the top its more than likely you have to remove the transmission.
I lifted the car off the engine and then back on with the other body

And/or pull the fuel pump relay rather than the injector harness, that way you can isolate a blown injector O-ring. It sounds to me like you are just drowning in fuel.

If there is a short in the injector harness or the harness from the ECU to the engine, the injectors may be getting stuck open...
