Engine removal - 1990 300ZX Automatic

I need to pull engine for rebuild. Don't know where to start. Someone who has done this, please give me some help. I hesitate to start taking stuff off when I don't really know what must be removed in order to pull motor. Is motor and trans best pulled as one?

Are you doing all the work yourself?

Ive never been involved in a z32 swap myself, but there are plenty of people here who have.

That bay is tight so I would guess almost everything will have to come out.

I personally drop the whole front subframe out of the bottom with engine and trans still attached. If you have a lift I recomend this way other people pull from the top with not to much hasle.
