I don't know if this would work out to be a good deal or not. Certainly not for someone of my skill level. But, if you had a partially good engine, and the skills to do a rebuild...

I don't know. For $280 shipped you could have an engine to work on over the winter without having to park the Q for the winter.

Perhaps the cost of replacement parts and the labor of the rebuild would exceed the value. Might be cheaper to buy a used engine that is already in good shape.

Hmmm......clean it up, do a John Dixon style overhaul.....it might be worth $280.

I suppose thats not a bad idea if you were planning on doing internal mods anyway... hell, it may just need to be cleaned real good and maybe have the rod bearings replaced and we'd be good to go..... Would be a good chance and excuse to tear it down and then reassemble all weird like

I don't know... maybe this would give the me flexibility to teach myself the insides and outs of the VH45DE. In the end, I might actually end up with a better engine?

Something to consider.
