Post

Hi there everyone, i tried asking this in the wrong section of the forums so im asking it here.

ive had my truck for a few years now and just now had the space and time to freshen it up. It was really tired lol. Pulled the motor last weekend and tore it down. hot tanked the non-aluminum parts this weekend and got the block and main caps saturated in atf and wrapped up for preservation till i can order parts. Thats where i need some assistance, im unfamilar with shopping for parts in a build this in depth. Ive tried and tried to find a base hp mark for the ka24e and ive found somethin like 140-150. Is that in the ballpark?? Anyway, i want to make around 275 -300 hp with it in the end. How hard will that be? I plan on boosting it somewhere between 7-10 psi eventually.

Im thinking of going with the following:
wiseco pistons with like 8.5:1 or 9:1 compression
H-beam forged con rods
Internal balanced crank

For the block im not planning a whole lot of work.
Just having a line bore done and cylinders bored .010 over

What else can you guys recommend/change in what i have planned out? Like i said im new to these four cylinders and i dont know the capabilities/restrictions.
