What ECU did you put in? How do you know it's flooded? Are you pulling the plugs? I'm thinking a bad injector(s).ka 4 life wrote:Hey guys i have a ka24de and i recently bought an ecu for the car because my old one was bad. the car started 2 times and when i put the valvule cover on it never started again. i took everything apart and re did the timing. the car starts but it turns of because it keeps getting flooded with gas. what can be causing that problem?
Do you have a single or dual cam KA? Hopefully the ECU from your friend is the same for your engine. You say you redid the timing ... Are you sure your timing is spot on? Does the fuel pump stay running after starting? I'm not sure about it, but I know some FI motors will flood with fuel if you start and shut down a couple times. But I know a leaky fuel injector will do it. Are all of the cylinders flooded???ka 4 life wrote:i bought an ecu from a freind of mine that had it on his car but he swap it out. I know is flooded because when ever you take out the injectors and try to started it starts, but when the gas dry out it dies, then i plug the injectors back in and it starts but dies again.
Hmm ... Has the fuel pump been noisier than usual at all as of late? Have any of your spark plugs been fouled lately? History of sputtering? A bad FPR will produce these symptoms. Oh yeah, and sorry about asking if it was single or dual cam as I just saw in your original post that you said KA24DE.breadbox wrote:fuel pressure Regulator
