Engine problems

So i was driving the other day home from work and i hear this "ticking" noise whenever my rpms went up, i thought it was something rattling at first, then i revved it manually and its comming from my engine..... i found a video on youtube thats the same thing im going through... anyone know what it could be?

did you remove the chain guide? cause sometimes the chain will wake that a few times and break it and thats all bad news

no i havent check that yet, havent had a chance to take it apart yet, probably tomorrow sometime ill get in there and look, that noise scares me

Well yesterday we pulled the valve cover off, and everything looked fine. so then we pulled the head off and everything was pretty mint. in cylinders 3 / 4 looked like there was a fair amount of carbon build up, we're going to drop the pan today and look at the rods and bearings, if that is all alright, doing valves, timing chain, rocker arm stoppers i believe......
