Engine Problems. Dont know what else to do

Information on the naturally-aspirated KA24E and KA24DE engines.

I have a 95 240SX that i'm helping a friend to fix. I have replaced the Nox sencer, and replaced the distributor with a used one. It also has brand new spark plugs and wires.

The car will turn over and run for about 1 sec. then will shut off again. And i cant get it running long enough to hook up my Code Reader to see whats wrong.

I'm running out of ideas of what could be wrong. If some one knows what else i could do to get it running it would be much appreciated.

make sure all the vacuum lines are hooked up, or capped off.make sure the IAC-aac vacuum is either connected to the port on the intake, or capped off

You sure you put the distributor in rite? TDC comression cylinder 1. Thats a problem i had wit my 95 S14, i had to accurately get it jus rite so it will work. Wat i did was TDC compression cylinder1, take distributor cap of, line up the dots on the dist. shaft and shaft housing, insert dist. and put cap over to see if the contact point lines up wit number 1 sparkplug.

three things can cause this symptomcoil timing/dizzycoolant temp sensor

check the resistance on the coil and CTS to see if they're in spec. peace.
