Hey Guys,

I have a question arround the Z.

We've changed the old Z engine with an engine from Japan!.

The engine starts up well, but the Engine will not accept any speed, only after few seconds with misfiring (heard the exhaust banging),..and on idle..it runs rough, and after some seconds it stops

I thought at first it is the camshaft sensor, we switched through some positions but with no effect.

Did any of you had ever such a problem?

Can i maybe get some infos via Consult ?Maybe an error code ?

Thanks for your help,..I'm baffled

Have you pulled codes from the engine? I would try replacing your MAF sensor with your old one and see if that helps, because that's what it sounds like to me. If not that, then inspect/clean your IACV. And don't forget to pull your codes!

also do the power balance test by pulling the coil pack connections one by one to see if the idle gets worse or doesn't change. It could be the connectors to the injectors, coil packs, or the injectors themselves if they've been sitting for a while. Ecu may not log codes for that

Thank you for help ; )

Ive pulled out code..it says KNOCK SENSOR,...i talked to my old nissan garage and he mentioned it is maybe an usual output error...

Tomorrow i will engage the vacuum lines...i havent connected all to the right place,..coz im the first one who swapped this engine,...and its hard work.

Does anybody of you own a good vacuum plan? coz the plan from the service manual is hard to read out which vacuum hose is connected to which part, i would be really thankfull and make a video of the good runing engine

Knock sensor will be showing if the engine is sensing a misfire or detonation. Once you clear up the issues and get it running right, the knock sensor code *should* go away. (assuming it isn't burned out/broken)

I don't know of any other place to get a decent vacuum line diagram other than the FSM. Maybe the Haynes manual, but chances are, it's almost the same thing.
