I recently purchased a 1989 240sx with a blown engine. I can get an engine from a 1993. Would the engine work or because of the year difference it wont?

The motor in the 89 should be a Ka24e or a single overhead cam 2.4 while the 91-up motors are KA24DE or dual overhead cam motors so it wouldnt be as simple as "just" swaping the motors, u'd have to do wiring i think.

you would need a new computer to, and a new wiring harness....other than that i think it should swap in fine

you would also need to get power stering lines becuase on a twin cam the power stering pump is on the drivers side while the single cam is on the passenger side
