I have a 1995 240sx Auto With I/E and around 141k miles

i hope someone could help me. i was driving on the freeway and i was going about 70mph. my speedometer starts to drop and my gas pedal does not work. therefore i had to pull over. i continue to drive n at a certain speed or rpm the car starts jerking n my car kinda stalls. similiar problem on street as well as freeway. i had to pull over as the speedometer once again drops. when i am completely pulled over, my interior gets dim and three of my sensor lights turn on(brake, oil and battery). my steering wheel is into a lock position. i changed my fuel filter and resetted my ecu thinking it was the problem but after replacing it, still the same problem. if you know wutz wrong please post useful info. thx everyone.

Welcome to NICO Denny!

It sounds like the ignition is breaking down, Take a good look at your plugs, wires ,cap, and rotor. Make sure they are all in good order. Plugs should be NGK,wires should be factory or at the least high quality[not kragen specials] The cap should not be made in italy. Factory is best but any other cap made in japan or US should not cause this type of failure. Get a good look at that stuff and post back your findings if they are quality stuff.

Befroe you go running off and buying these things thinking its a quick fix, you should take a look at them and see if they are any good.

Also will it immediatly restart and run or does it take awhile to start?

it's fine starting the vehicle but i did notice black smoke coming out of the exhaust. At times when i rev in park, it sounds like there's something stuck, a choking sound.

the airflow meter is attached to the air filter box and has a 3 or 4 wire connector. make sure the connection is clean and tight, also make sure the ground cicuit has less then .2v on it any thing higher will make the car run fat and cough out black smoke. Also check your coolant temp sensor connection and clean as neccesary. its the red 2 wire connectoron the fron of your exhaust manifold.
