Engine problem, HELP!

Hi, I have a 95 240sx Auto (i know it sucks)But i was driving my friend to work this afternoon and the car runs great...but on the way back all of a sudden the exhaust note started to sound like a WRX's and the engine has like 1/5th the power it normally would have it doesnt pull at all, im really worried that the car is going to die..im gonna go out and check the distributor and the cords..does anyone have any answers for this..it just happened all of a sudden with no warning at all..thankschris

there is a good chance that is bad spark plug wire or connector......check plugs and wires ASAP....is probably running on 3 cylinders.....thats why the lack of power and the loud banging....

Usually if it sounds like a WRX, its running on 3 cylinders. Def check the plugs/wires. An injector may have also given out on you or got stuck shut.
