I own a 97 240sx with around 150k miles and I am planning to purchase the Greddy turbo kit. i want to keep the KA motor instead of going the SR route.

What kinds of things can i do to prep the engine for the turbo?

How much do these suggestions tend to cost? :help

if I were you, and the engine is healthy I would:1) bolt on turbo2) make sure your a/f's are good3) not run lots of boost4) have fun.

Thats a lot of miles for a 97, but i guess it doesn't really matter if the engine is in good shape.

af's = air/fuel ratios. if you need further explantion on that then you want to wait a little while to go turbo until you have a better understanding of it.

do a compression check on your motor. if all the cylinders are within 5psi and above 160psi your motor is jsut fine.

if you going to get an egine rebuilt then yes there is no need for a lower mile engine. just to let you know theres a few guys with close to or over 200k on a stock ka boosting around 10psi

Has anyone tried this kit? Does it seem like a good idea to use before going turbo?
