Engine Power Cutting Out

Hi, just bought my 2003 350z and when i was giving it a bit of stick today, once i got at around 7500 rpm in 2nd after the gear change light flashed the power to my engine was cut until i changed gear, so i was just wondering is this a normal occurrence for the 350z and if so why does it happen, cheers rob

Sounds to me like your Vehicle Dynamic Control felt like you were gonna lose traction. The light flash should have just been a light that says "slip".

If you'll look down on the lower, left-most area of your dash, you should see a "VDC" button.

Press it before hard acceleration, and maybe you'll get a better response outta your z.
