Hello I am new to this forum for posting I have been reading up on just about everything to do with 240sx and the sr20. I have that in my 240sx and am planing on rebuilding the motor very soon. The end goal is 350 - 400 whp or where the turbo starts maxing out at. Its a 2871r .86 ar still just bottom mount.

Onto the questions mainly about head parts. Valve springs are dual valve springs worth it or just a set like BC or Peak performance I am looking to build the head to rev quite high as I am going to solid lifters in the ranges of 9 k safely and valve float is quite scary to myself. If anyone has a setup that they rev up that much would love to know. Then the valve itself if I just buy a new oem set and get them to do a radius valve cut on them will that be as good the only set ive seen so far is a BC one but the valve are stainless steel which I would be worried about strength with that but not quite sure what stock valves are made from. Then last spring retainers worth it for that titanium stuff. Thanks for any advice or info sorry the the long ramblings.

Welcome to Nico. Be sure and use the search button next time, or you will get flamed.

The only thing I would add to this article, is to use rocker stoppers.
