engine part interchangability

seeing how the s13 240sx uses the same KA engine the Stanzas are the parts interchangeable? like the head etc. and is there any performance differences in between the parts. sorry if im being to vague.

Basically what I am asking is can engine parts be swapped from car to car no matter the application as long as they used that same engine.

The Stanza is front wheel drive so some parts won't work but yeah, I've taken a part or two off a junkyard Stanza KA for my KA. I came across a site once that listed part interchangability but I can't seem to find it now.

Some of the older Sentras have interchangeable parts also.

I know that one big difference between the top ends of RWD vs FWD KA's is that the distributor is in a different location preventing you from swaping out the whole heads.

There is also the issue of the different way the transmitions mate up to the blocks... Also preventing direct bolt on swaping of major parts.But as was said earlier, some of the internal parts can be changed over without much fuss. However I am not the one to come up with that list for you.
