engine Overheating, water spurting out of PS pump!!! leaking ?

ok, i filled up my radiator and resovoir with water, and drove it for like 45 min to an hour, when i shut off the car, i heard a hissing noise, and popped the hood to find that there's water and brownish stuff shooting from the power steering pump!, through one of the bolts, if you look at it from the front, it's the bottom bolt on the left ( KA24E). it smells like it's overheating, and gets really hot. why would there be water shooting from the ps pump? do you think it could be my thermostat? any and all help would be greatly appreciated.. this is my daily driver and i have to get it fixed asap! thanks again.

eesh at first i thought you meant the water pump.

uh can you post any pics of it. this may be one for the online mechanic section. when its in a safe spot and cools down take off the intake tube so you can inspect it closely. water should not spurt from the PS pump.

see if the brownish stuff is oil or coolant.

yeah, i was wondering why it was spurting from the ps pump... it's really weird. i'll try to get pics of it and post them here. thanks.

i found out the problem !, because the water was spurting so badly and i couldn't get close to see where the water was coming from i just assumed, then finally today, i went and looked at it, and there's a hose right next to the lower radiator hose that's got a huge gash in it. if you're standing on the passenger's side wheel well, and you look at the thermostat housing, right to the left of that is a smaller hose that's about half the diameter of the lower radiator hose. what is this hose called? im gonna go to the junkyard and get another one. all this time i thought it was coming out of the power steering pump , which i thought was kind of odd.. but now i guess i shouldn't make assumptions until i know more details.. hehe... you live and you learn. thanks for all the help though.
