engine oil?

I forgot, what kinda engine oil do we put in our vert?sae-10w... you know that kinda number! someone help me. thanks.someone told me its 5w... and if i have a lotta miles i put 10w or it doesnt matter, I got less than 110k.is that a lot? or what?

anyways, so does it matter if 10w or 5w get messed up in engine?bc, i dont know what the oil guys put into my car when i got my oil changed lasttime.

This is straight from my 92 240 Vert's owner's manual..."Energy Conserving Oils of API SG, SAE 5W-30 is preferable for all ambient temperatures." It also says that 20W-40 and 20W-50 are usable if the ambient temperature is above 50 degrees F (10 C) for all seasons. And just fyi...it says to use 75W-90 for the transmission (5-speed if you have swaped it) and 80W-90 gear oil for the differential if the ambient temp. is below 104 degrees F (40 C).
