Engine Oil Cooler Installation

Has any one on this list put in a remote oil cooler/filter system on a VH45DE.

Do a search in the Infiniti mechanics forum for oil filter relocation.... there was a thread in there not too long ago.

And, I had a thread about relocating the oil filter in this forum about 2 months back.

I'm not sure if we addressed anything regarding an external oil cooler... but, I know a couple of people have done the oil filter relocation.

You can use the oil filter relocation kits for 300ZX

I have done this on my 240sx its kinda a PITA if you dont know what your doing. If there is a kit its pritty simple. I peiced mine together which made it pritty hard. cutting hoses, checking seals, leaking oil.. it all kinda sucked... its worth it if you live in hot areas.

Don't use hose clamps and barbs.

They leak (speaking from personal experience here)

Go to your local Earl's distributor and have them set you up with nice hoses, ends and the cooler/oil filter head.

Use Econoflex to save $ over the stainless braided stuff.
