Engine number to determine type (NA or Turbo)

I want to purchase an imported VG30DE engine.

However, the local suppliers are not sure whether the engines they have are 24 valve non-turbo engines.

How can I make 100% sure that the engine offered is a non-turbo. Does the engine number give an indication of the type?

I need the non-turbo version because of space considerations.
