Hello, My Z32 TT has developed an issue where it does not turn off with the key. I have already tested the ignition switch and im sure it is not the problem. to turn off the car I usually stall it or pull the ignition fuse in the fusible link. I've heard that there is a diode in the alternator that, when broken, can allow power to flow back into the motor keeping it alive. I've also heard the same with the ECU. Have any of you experienced this before? Thank you in advance!

I have, but it was years ago on my build and I cannot for the life of me remember what caused it, if I can remember I'll let you know.

So IIRC my issue was unsetaed/badly seated o rings on the injectors which caused fuel to leak into the manifold even after the key was shut off which kept the engine chugging. I'm pretty certain thats what my issue ended up being but it's been a long time. Worth taking a look though.

Thank you, I'll look into it. However, I'm fairly positive this is an electrical gremlin. I tried pulling some relays the other day to see if one was faulty and occasionally when a relay was pulled the car would shut off or drop to about 300rpms. Other times it had no effect. Does anybody have any thoughts on this?

My fuel rail is good. I'm 99% sure it is a bad ECU diode. I think i fried it when I cut my knock sensor w/o disconnecting the battery. (rookie mistake, I know) I've made a temporary kill switch, but I plan on having the ECU replaced when I install bigger injectors.
