well the reason i believe it to be the clutch is because when a clutch is slipping it takes a lot of RPM to get the car moving before it RPM and vehicle finally catch up.

If it is the clutch, more than likely it is, adjusting the clutch pedal might buy you a little time.

it's the clutch.

you normally won't hear it rubbing. you don't hear it rub when it engages on a good clutch. when the clutch goes bad all it means is that it's worn out. it's not really a problem or anything... just periodic maintenance for every 90k miles or so (or however long the clutch is rated to go for).

best way to clear out the fluid is to flush it. its like bleeding brakes.

to bleed your clutch, i would suggest lifting up the passenger side of the front. on the transmission you will see your slave cylinder held on by two bolts on the transmission. on the slave you will see a bleeder. open up the bleeder with either an 8 or 10mm wrench. once fluid starts to leak out of the bleeder screw, close the bleeder. have a friend pump the clutch deeply 3 times and then have the pedal held down on the third pump. while held down, open the bleeder, let the fluid stream come out for about a second, and then close it. repeat this process until the clutch fluid is clear and the pedal feel is fine. refill the clutch master cylinder as necessary.
