Hello everyone,

I just got 06 M45 recently, and have few questions. Any help would be greatly appreciated. My first question is after driving my M45, there's clicking noise from the engine and was wandering if this was normal? And, does anyone notice the seat moves a little when stopping? Feels like its not secure? Thanks.

There is a TSB about the drivers seat shifting forward during braking. ITB07029 IF YOU CONFIRM When accelerating, stopping, or turning, the driver seat bottom and/or seatback makes noise (clicking, creaking, or clunking) and/or moves (rocks/moves back and forth). ACTION Replace the driver seat adjuster assembly: See this bulletin for further detail.

As for the ticking noise in the engine bay. ITB06012 IF YOU CONFIRM There is a ticking, clicking, thumping, or knocking noise heard in the passenger compartment at idle. The noise could be from the engine compartment. ACTION With the engine idling, feel the fuel damper hose while the noise is occurring. The fuel damper hose is located on the Bank 1 side of the engine. If the vibration of the fuel damper hose coincides with the noise heard inside the vehicle, replace the fuel damper and attached hose on that cylinder bank (Bank 1). See thisbulletin for further detail.
