Engine Noise. Is it possible to have a quiet niose with a bad rod bearing?

How about you describe said noise and we can go from there.

FYI after I did my cam seals and had the cams out, the lifters started giving me fits. They would clack real bad whenever warm. And after spinning #1, I can say they sounded like quiet rod knock, but from the head not the block.
